Industrial Services Division Training
This program is designed to further develop individuals’ skills, as related to working in an industrial contract environment. Participants develop valuable skills in all areas of processing, quality control, packaging, and shipping, while also earning a training wage.

Janitorial Services Division Training
The Janitorial Services program provides participants with work experience and training in a custodial setting, via the use of service contracts with private employers and government agencies, where specific job skills relating to the appropriate use of janitorial cleaning equipment and methods are learned and training wages are earned.

This program teaches job-seeking and employment maintenance skills. Skills emphasized include job search strategies and interviewing techniques.

This program provides an alternative to individuals who cannot function in competitive employment because of the severity of their disability.

Employment Skills Training

1) Clerical Skills Training: While in Clerical Skills Training, individuals are taught the basics of keyboarding and computer operation.

2) Self-Paced Applications in the Computer Environment (SPACE) 
This program provides participants with self-paced and instructor lead training in Microsoft Office applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook).

3) Certified Nurses Assistants (CNA) Training 
The CNA program prepares students to work as Certified Nurses Assistants and to pass the State Certification Exam. The clinical rotations are based in local nursing homes or long term care facilities.

Driver’s Education
The Driver’s Education program uses classroom lecture and practice, computerized simulation, and practical on-the-road experience, with a certified instructor to assist individuals in obtaining a valid State driver’s license.

Work Keys Services
Services provided at the Kingston Pike Facility and rural satellites include comprehensive work readiness assessments, basic skills training, social and life skills training, job search training and job placement.

Supported Employment
Supported Employment is a cooperative effort of Goodwill Industries, the Division of Intellectual Disabilities Services (DIDS) and the Division of Rehabilitation Services. Participants in this program require continuous support and intensive training so they can maintain competitive employment in the community.

Follow-Along Services
Follow-Along Services are provided exclusively for individuals referred from The Division of Intellectual Disabilities Services (DIDS) and are designed to provide long-term support in the workplace.  As required by DIDS, individuals must have a full-scale IQ of 70 or below.

This program is structured to assist individuals in identifying, obtaining and maintaining employment, which corresponds with their vocational, social, psychological, and physical abilities and interests. Additional services are available to employers to facilitate the successful employment of disabled and disadvantaged individuals.
