Nursing Assistant Training (CNA)
The CNA program prepares students to work as Certified Nursing Assistants and to pass the Nurse Aide Training (NAT) State Certification Exam.
This program is offered in Knoxville and Morristown. Both programs are taught by a Registered Nurse (RN), and includes up to 164 hours of classroom and clinical instruction on the proper physical and psychological care for patients. This course is designed to prepare students to take the Tennessee State Nurse Aide Training (NAT) exam and become State-Certified Nursing Assistants.

Clinical Experience: During the final phase of the program, participants receive approximately two weeks of on-site, performance-based clinical experience at a local long-term healthcare facility. Training is supervised by the RN instructor. This clinical, "hands-on" experience provides the participants with an opportunity to utilize their newly learned skills and to build the self-confidence necessary to successfully pass the state's NAT exam and obtain employment as a CNA.

Fees vary for this program and scholarships may be available, however the base cost is $600, plus $90 for the NAT exam fee.
