Summer is heating up and so is the action as teams from across the region prepare to compete in the 10th Annual Goodwill Industries’ Morristown Softball Tournament scheduled for Friday and Saturday, June 13-14, 2008, at Frank Lorino Park, East Morris Blvd., Morristown .

This A.S.A. sanctioned tournament invites men’s slow-pitch teams to compete in the double elimination competition.  The team entry fee is $165 and space is limited to the first 30 teams who register.  Games will start at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday and continue until completed.  At the conclusion of the tournament, trophies will be awarded to first, second and third place teams.

In addition to the tournament games, there will be a Home Run Derby where the best players face-off for a chance to take home the Goodwill Industries Home Run Derby trophy. Entry into the competition is $5 for 10 balls.
