9th Annual Goodwill Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament Rules

1.    Game time is forfeit time.  Teams must be on time or forfeit.  Tournament Director has sole authority to forfeit a game. Each team must have the required number of players to start or finish a game.

2.    This is an A.S.A. Sanctioned Tournament and all A.S.A. rules will be enforce, except those regarding the dress code. (Bat re-inspections are required.)

3.    No more than two coaches per team will be on the field and only one manager and designated team captain may confer with umpires.

4.    All protest must be settled on the spot, as the tournament cannot be delayed. The Tournament Director or his duly appointed representative will settle protest.  Protest fee is $ 100.  If you lose your protest, you lose your money.  If you win your protest, you get your money back.  Only one team can protest.

5.    All games must start at point of delay in case of rain regardless of time.  in the event of rain, it is each team’s responsibility to make sure the game has been officially delayed by the umpire and/or tournament director.  Do not leave the park until the tournament director has told you when the tournament will resume. 

6.    Players must remain in the dugout when not actively playing or coaching.  

7.    A written, legible line-up must be given to the official scorer ten minutes prior to scheduled game time (whenever possible), along with the designated team captain. 

8.    Balls are to be supplied by the teams.  One new ball for each game.  Only acceptable balls will be those meeting standards in A.S.A rulebook.

9.     No infield is permitted on scheduled fields before any game.

10.  A courtesy runner will not be allowed under any circumstance. Re-entry by the official rulebook only.

11.  When an umpire ejects a player, manager, coach, etc., from a game, the ejected person must leave the field and general area around the field.  The general area is described as a 100 ft. radius around the field.  Generally, if the ejected person leaves the playing area from which ejected and goes to another level of the complex, this would be considered as having left the general area.

12. No alcoholic beverages allowed at Frank Lorino Park .  Violators will not be tolerated. 

13. Home Run Limits:  Three home runs will be allowed.  All other batters hitting a home run will be called out, but not disqualified. 

14. The tournament director will have the authority to move any game to a different time or field.  Any game moved would not be played before its scheduled time. 

15. The 20 run after four innings rule and 10 run after 5 innings rule will be in effect. 

16. Admission: $ 2-six and under free.  Players on submitted roster will not be charged admission.
