Students at The University of Tennessee have one last assignment to complete before they can go home for the summer - Collect donated materials for Goodwill. During move-out, students are able to donate gently used clothing and household items that they don't want to carry home with them for the summer. Collection boxes are located in the lobby of each dorm, along with materials to educate the students as to Goodwill's mission. 

Donated items placed in collection bins will be collected and donated to Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. and proceeds from the sale of these materials will assist Goodwill in providing vocational services and employment opportunities for people who, because of disability or disadvantage, face barriers for competitive employment. In 2007, Goodwill  Industries - Knoxville, Inc. served roughly 2,000  individuals with barriers to employment in the community.
