Goodwill Crowns Mr. Knoxville 2011

Congratulations to Wes Hicks for taking the title of Mr. Knoxville 2011. Wes works for SAIC and was able to collect the most donations for Goodwill Industries - Knoxville, Inc. With his outstanding ticket sales, shining personality and 80s dance moves, Wes was able to take home the crown!

Also, congratulations to Jimmy of WIVK’s Morning Show and Robbie Gibbs. Jimmy earned the title of 1st Runner-up with his demonstration of manly household chores, while Robbie earned the title of Mr. Congeniality after being voted crowd favorite!

The 17th Annual Mr. Knoxville Contest, hosted by NewsTalk’s Phil Williams and Michele Silva of WVLT, was held Thursday, November 17th at the Hilton-Knoxville. This comedic beauty pageant-spoof showcased Knoxville-area men competing in categories such as outfit of choice, skills and talent all for the sake of promoting Goodwill’s mission of providing vocational services and employment opportunities to those with barriers to employment.
