Shopper Highlight: Sarah

Sarah - Landscape.jpg

Sarah is a senior business major at the University of Tennessee. She is a lover of Jesus, all things yellow, and a self-proclaimed annoying cat mom. Making sustainable, ethical, and environmentally friendly purchases is something that is important to her. We recently got the opportunity to sit down with her and talk about what she loves about Goodwill.

Which Goodwill location(s) do you shop at?

Primarily the Goodwill on Chapman Highway and Kingston Pike!

Why do you shop at Goodwill?

I enjoy shopping at Goodwill because as a college student I am on a fixed budget, and goodwill offers me a place to purchase the things that I need but I can also try out new styles and not break the bank. Additionally, shopping at Goodwill is more eco-friendly than shopping at traditional clothing stores.

What type of items do you usually look for?

Typically I look for home items or business clothing!

How would you describe your style?

 Eclectic

What’s your favorite thing you’ve found at Goodwill?

Wow this is so hard! Either my giant yellow pillow ($2), a brand new blue velvet dress ($5), or a cat tree for my cat ($9).

Before leaving, Sarah offered some tips for others shopping at Goodwill.

  1. Look through everything
  2. Going with friends makes it more fun
  3. Know the ½ off color tag of the week
  4. Look up any additional discounts
  5. It’s a great place to find unique presents
