Boy Scout Good Turn

The annual Boy Scout Good Turn will be held during the week of Feb. 5 through Feb. 12. During this material drive, local Boy Scout troops will collect donations of gently-used clothing and other items from friends, family and neighbors and donate them to their local Goodwill. Participating Boy Scouts will earn a patch for their efforts and community service.

If you would like to help support the Great Smoky Mountain Boy Scout troops, please contact your local Boy Scout troop. For more information about the Boy Scouts or to find your local Boy Scout council, visit www.scouting.org. 

All proceeds from donations will directly benefit the mission of Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. to provide vocational services and employment opportunities for people with barriers to employment. In 2009, Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. assisted more than 3,700 individuals and experienced over 3,300 positive program completions.
