Goodwill Offers Certified Nursing Assistant Program

For the past 14 years, Goodwill Industries-Knoxville has been working to train, educate and certify those wanting to enter the field of healthcare through its Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Training Program, which prepares students to work as CNAs using a hands-on approach.

The program, taught by a registered nurse, is six and a half weeks long with four weeks of classroom instruction and two weeks clinical experience. This program provides participants the opportunity to utilize their newly learned skills and enables them to build the self-confidence necessary to graduate from the program and successfully pass the state’s Tennessee State Nurse’s Aide Training (NAT) exam.

The base fee for the program is $688 and covers the student's text book, scrub uniform, stethoscope and registration fee for the NAT exam.

Goodwill offers CNA programs at its Kingston Pike and Morristown Employment, Training and Rehabilitation centers.
