Goodwill Thanks Local Schools for Participating in Sack Packs! Goodwill Industries Knoxville-Inc. thanks local elementary and middle school students for participating in the Annual Sack Pack Material Drives! Throughout these four counties, nearly 2,800 students in 71 different schools collected more than 19,000 pounds of materials for Goodwill Industries. These donations will find their way into one of Goodwill's 22 area retail stores, where proceeds from the sales will aid Goodwill's training and employment efforts for individuals with barriers to employment. In 2008 Goodwill served more than 3,000 individuals, trained more than 2,100 in community service, and experienced more than 500 positive program closures. These material drives were made possible because of the partnerships between Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc. and Campbell County, Hamblen County, Knox County, Clinton City, Oak Ridge and Anderson County Schools and area businesses including Sonic Drive-In, McDonalds, The Marine Corps Reserve, The American Museum of Science and Energy, Dollywood, Star 102.1 and WBIR. Thanks again, schools, students, teachers, and sponsors! ![]() [programs] [employment] [locations] [special events] [about goodwill] [contact] ©2009 Goodwill Industries-Knoxville, Inc.
